Amy has worked in secondary education for over a decade, since qualifying as an English teacher in 2009. She is an experienced pastoral leader, having worked as Deputy Head of Year, Head of Year and as a Director of Pastoral Care across KS4. More recently, Amy also leads on behaviour in the school that she loves, as well as providing other schools and teachers with support and training on pastoral care, behaviour, and culture. She regularly writes for a number of publishers and works with prestigious organisations such as the Chartered College of Teaching to support teachers at various stages in their career and she is a behaviour columnist for the Times Educational Supplement.
