Dedication Preface and Acknowledgments About the Editor Subject Index Quotes Suggested Reading Author Index
As the subtitle suggests, Educating America is a collection of quotes from the icons of the education - from groundbreakers like Dewey, Freire, Vygotsky, Montessori, Piaget, Bourdieu, Noddings, Bloom, Clay, Sarason, et al, to more contemporary educators of note like Darling-Hammond, Fullan, Glasser, Sizer, Gardner, Ladson-Billings, Sergiovanni, Lambert, et al. The unique approach distinguishes Educating America from other quote books, and requires a much more comprehensive research effort to compile. It should not only be unique, but difficult for other publishers to create and compete against.
